How to choose a size?

Choosing the right size is important when buying sneakers and shoes online.

Remember that each brand may have slightly different size numbers, but don't worry!

Thanks to this guide, you will make the right choice.

Wear them as long as possible!

By choosing the right sneakers, you can also extend the life of your shoes. Most people choose the wrong size. If you buy shoes that fit you exactly to the millimeter, you buy sneakers that are half to a size smaller. The shoes then push you and the canvas ones even tear after a while. On the other hand, shoes that are too big don't push you anywhere, but they can be destroyed unnecessarily quickly. Stressing a certain part of the shoe, which was not taken into account during its construction, ends up with a cracked sole or a bent toe.

The key is to measure the insole

It is best to choose the size of the shoe according to the length of the insole, which is indicated in centimeters. You can find the information on the shoe or on the box either directly in cm or under the abbreviation JP (in millimeters). The cm length is and will always be the same, unlike US, EUR, FR, IT, CHN, etc. numbering, which can be misleading because they are not standardized.

How to measure the insole?

The ideal way to determine the correct foot length in cm is to step on a piece of paper and mark where the longest toe ends at the front and where the heel ends at the back. The line between these points is the maximum length of your foot. Remember that one foot can be longer. So measure the foot you know is bigger. Alternatively, measure both and choose the shoes according to the higher result. To be sure, you can add up to 0.5 cm to the length of the foot.

TIP

We recommend taking measurements in socks. And definitely measure your foot only in the afternoon or evening, when the foot is sufficiently blood-stained and therefore slightly larger.

How do I know which shoe fit is right for me?

Different models may have different cuts despite the fact that they are sneakers of the same brand. Some models fit you like a glove, others may not. Take a good look at how the sneakers look in the picture. If they seem narrow or elongated, but your foot is rather wider, there is a risk that a particular model will push you even though you have chosen the right size. We also recommend reading relevant reviews of a specific model from customers who actually wear the shoes.

What is TTS?

TTS stands for “True To Size”. You will often see this designation on the website and in reviews. Translate it as "fits well". Therefore, it is safe to order sneakers in the size that you normally get used to.
